Visual Minutes

Claire has 20 years of experience creating visual minutes, also known as live scribing, sketchnotes or graphic facilitation. It is an illustrated record of conferences, events, meetings, and research, often collaborating with other artists on the same poster. It is the art of listening
and capturing content in a dynamic and creative way. Making complex information accessible by bringing
it to life with images and colour.

The way of working has been a continual development and learning process, and adapted further during the pandemic to accommodate remote, studio based work and online meetings.

Claire was trained in this art form by visionary Tim Casswell from Creative Connection.

Claire is part of the MORE THAN MINUTES team.

This is a group of self-employed Artists that come together regularly to create Visual Minutes and Animations, working more like musicians, all drawing and producing the same piece together.

Regular clients include: The Eden Project, Rathlin (RDCA), Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, NHS, Primary Care Trusts, Manchester University, LJMU, Southampton University, The Environment Agency, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, Innovate UK, Christies and Whitworth Art Gallery.
