This work comes from a collaboration between Claire and her cousin, Andy Muir. Andy lives in Berlin and makes experimental music, using field recordings of everyday sounds and putting them into a different context.


Andy’s music has inspired these Drawings, Paintings and Screen Prints. One track in particular, ‘Bird Dub’, led Claire to drawing birds whilst listening to the music; letting the rhythms of the tune bring out the patterns in the flight. Then back in the studio other tunes influenced the development of the images. Many titles of the art works are influenced by the names of Andy’s music, and relate to the pieces that inspired them.
